QuoteWerksvsAvitly

QuoteWerks alternatives

QuoteWerks is one of the most established quoting engines in the channel, and for line-item speed against live distributor pricing it is hard to beat. It was built for the IT and MSP world, though, and AV shops borrow it. It quotes: it does not design the system being quoted, and it does not run the install or the service years that follow. Avitly starts from the floor plan and keeps the same record through all of it.

Credit where it is due

Where QuoteWerks is strong

Real-time pricing, availability and ordering straight from Ingram Micro, TD SYNNEX, D&H and other distributors.
The deepest PSA and CRM integration list in the category: ConnectWise, Autotask, HaloPSA, Kaseya, Salesforce and more.
QuoteValet delivers online quotes with e-signature, payment and version tracking.
Concurrent-user licensing, so a shared seat pool can cover a bigger team than the headcount suggests.

The difference

Where Avitly is different

01

It is a quoting tool, not a design tool

There is no floor-plan design, no to-scale placement, no real cable-run lengths, no connector or signal validation and no rack elevations. The quote is assembled from a product list, not derived from a system. Avitly generates the bill of materials from the design itself, so the two cannot drift apart.

02

Nothing before the quote, nothing after it

QuoteWerks starts at the line item and stops at the accepted quote. Site survey, install tracking, crew planning, credentials, config files and multi-year service plans are all outside it, and typically live in a PSA alongside. Avitly carries one record from the first site visit to the year-three service call.

03

Built for the IT channel, not for AV

The integration list and the product data pipeline are aimed at MSPs and VARs reselling IT hardware. An AV job's specifics, signal paths, rack layouts, cable schedules, speaker coverage, are not part of the model.

04

The real price is the stack, not the seat

Standard is $15 per user monthly, Professional $20 and Corporate $29, but the pieces that make it feel modern are separate: QuoteValet at $28 per user monthly, real-time pricing and availability at $14, and Etilize product content at $9. A Professional seat with all three lands near $71 per user monthly.

Choose QuoteWerks if

your quoting is line-item work against distributor stock, you already run a PSA like ConnectWise or Autotask for everything around it, and you want the fastest, most deeply integrated CPQ in the channel. For that job QuoteWerks is excellent and Avitly is not trying to replace it.

Our take

If the thing you are quoting is a designed system, and the drawing, the cable schedule and the rack layout should produce the bill of materials rather than be rebuilt beside it, that is a different tool from a CPQ engine.

Design it once. Sell it, install it, service it.

Avitly runs the whole install off one floor plan: quote, client-signed offer, bill of materials, rack layout, then device credentials and tickets after handover. Presales to maintenance, no re-entry.
